Great gym, great members, coaches, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. I have been a member for about two years, and the experience has been life changing!

Mark and his students welcome everyone with open arms. They do not care if you are from another team; they just love jiu-jitsu. High level jiu-jitsu, at that. I can't speak highly enough about Mark and his team.

This place is the best martial arts school I have ever found. I have been to schools that will just give you promotions because you showed up a certain amount of times. I've been to schools that don't compete and don't push the curriculum for their student. They just run through one class after another as though they're marked on a calendar and immutable. The instructors at New Breed will listen to you and your fellow classmates. They will watch you spar and get a general sense of where the classes need to go and teach for that. The instructors compete and have firsthand knowledge of how matches actually take place and then give you that knowledge in simple, helpful drills. Normal competition gyms and teachers mean that everyone is standoffish or extremely aggressive, however that is not the case here. Practically everyone is kind and courteous and always trying to help. I feel that when learning new skills, patience, not only with yourself but with others, is paramount and I feel that is well practiced here. That being said, you may think that we pull our punches but nothing is further from the truth. I have no other gym that trains as hard as we do. Sparring is taken seriously and is not easy. Many of the students compete in tournaments and we train to win.
